Meet us!
Organic and/or Fairtrade Specialty Coffees of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta COLOMBIA
We represent the dream of 10 small organizations of farmers of the highest coastal mountain in the world located in the North of Colombia facing the Caribbean Sea. We harvest exceptional coffee and cocoa beans, and honey with unique attributes at altitudes between 700 and 1800 MASL. Our products have reached the international markets with a strong guarantee of quality and traceability.
Organizations of small producers of the Sierra de Santa Marta.
We directly support 3,982 farming families in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, promoting their work, their traditions and their future.
We promote four essential production chains: coffee, cocoa, honey and rural community-based tourism.
We are participating in the BIOFACH Fair in Nuremberg-Germany and the Coffee Fest in Madrid – Spain thanks to the Organic and Inclusive Future Project which is funded by the European Union and executed by Red Ecolsierra and Acodea in Colombia.
We group around 3500 families of farmers and indigenous people whose main activity is coffee production. However, in recent years we have ventured into the productive chains of other products such as fine flavour cocoa and beekeeping, and sustainable business models as community tourism.
We defend and protect our territory through agroecological practices on farms certified as organic and Fairtrade.
We seek to generate spaces for the multi-stakeholder participation of rural and indigenous youths and women, as well as strengthen the governance structures of our organizations seeking active participation in territorial scenarios.
Finally, we want to highlight that we have experience in the commercialization of green and roasted coffee beans, dry cocoa beans, and products from the beehive. We have a strong commitment to the high-quality standards of our clients, and we work hard to keep them harvest after harvest..
